I know before you guys tell me to buy Barry's book, its in the works. now to my question before I buy any more engines, Can I run Lionel engines with MTH DCS? Simple as that, Im asking cause I don't know.

Yes. You will need a command base from Lionel. Either TMCC, BASE 1L, or Legacy base and the MTH to TMCC/ Legacy cable. Connect the 2 and with a little setup you'll be ready to go.
Sounds like more money. But I guess when buying used for the best price you have do to it.
Yes, however you need a Lionel base unit and the patch cable from the TIU to the base unit.
Ive been contemplating it as well, but , I just haven't been "wowed" by any of the Lionel stuff.
A Base 1L can be had for a little ove $125. The cable is less than $20. Not a bad investment.

Yes. It is the basic TMCC base. It will work fine.

Power source for the TIU and AIU.
Necessary cables to connect chosen power supply to TIU.
If you know you are getting Barry's book, do,it now. Read it so you can plan your setup and get what you need!
I'am but I want the soft back copy. I might just get the digital, do you know if I can put it on several devices like my computer and tablet?

I only have it on my tablet, but I believe you can put it on multiple devices.

If you are running on FasTrack you do not need the AIU except for accessories . Your Cab1 will operated Command Control FasTrack Switches (plug and play remote control FasTrack Switches) right from the hand held, as many as 99 of them on your FT layout.
