Lionel Transformer Cord ID

I just removed the power cord from a burned up Lionel transformer, number 1015 at 45 watts. Instead of the usual "L" or "LIONEL" molded into the cord's plug, it has "CORNISH." Is this a known variant? Or did somebody simply replace the original cord? The cord looks, smells, and feels similar to an original Lionel rubber cord. Thanks!
