Lionel UP Big Boy Lionmaster LionChief 2.0 Plus features

I am thinking of purchasing one of the new LC 2.0 bigboys but have a question about the features, trying to determine if these have sequence control, the reason I ask is on the Lionel store site they describe the Sherman Hill set differently then the individual Big Boy engines for sale.  I cant imagine the engine in the set is any different but it is described to include the following, while the other individual Big Boy engines do not reference these features:

Any help clarifying the features would be appreciated.

There seem to be a lot of inconsistencies like this both on the Lionel website and in the catalogs. I wish they would put more effort into specifying which features each individual locomotive (or at least locomotive family) has so it's clear what you're getting.

My Lionmaster LC2+ Big Boy #4014 arrived a few weeks ago and I absolutely love it! Here's what I've noticed:

• No quilling whistle, BUT the whistle on this loco is fantastic! I don't really miss the quilling feature b/c it sounds so good
• Continuous bell only (TMCC style)
• I have noticed different CrewTalk and TowerCom announcements based on motion and speed. Exactly how many, I'm not sure as I've never run the loco faster than speed 3
• I haven't tried sequence control - I will try that out and report back
• I'm also not sure about speed and fuel dialog/refueling sound effects. Not sure if those are automatic or triggered via the remote?
• 4 chuffs/revolution at slow speeds with synchronized smoke (love this feature)
• There is a steam blowdown effect that's pretty cool as well - #6 on the remote keypad

Since the LC+ 2.0 is really TMCC based, you aren't going to get quilling whistles on any of them.

I've got the #4011... Whistle Steam, Single or Continuous Bell etc...I'll check all the features when I get home...

Yeah, different animal... mine's the 6-11208... Vision Whistle Steam, Real Time Quilling, Legacy etc.

Did a quick running session with my son earlier - I don't think this loco has sequence control as holding down AUX1 didn't trigger the bell+horn confirmation. There are a bunch of different CrewTalk & TowerCom announcements

@Mike0289 Thank you for posting my video review. I can confirm that this model does not have sequence control, however this model has an incredible sound package.

• Dual Speakers in the tender give the whistle a huge boost and echo effect. Rivals some of my Legacy engines. Doesn't need a quillable whistle IMHO
• This model does have special chatter, #7 on the keypad - crew talking to each other - pretty neat and better than the default radio talk in recent years
• Water filling, Blow down, and coal filling sounds are also available like on Legacy
• Speed control is fantastic, this engine can crawl at low speeds
• Highly detailed for a non Legacy engine

A+ job by Lionel on this model. Worth the price in my opinion. I would have bought the Sherman Hill set, but I wanted the 4014.

I bought the 4014 version...not sequence control but great sound. I agree on that.

I know this is an old post but figured I would ask....

Do the LC+ and LC+ 2.0 engines have labor chuff (dynachuff)?
