I have a Lionel Legacy Base and remote running version 1.6 with a Lionel WiFi module attached with a BD9 cable immediately after the base. However, the module does not generate a WiFi signal. The module is set to “Base” and “Access”. I would appreciate any suggestions for troubleshooting. Thanks!

I assume you have the 6-81499 LCS DB-9 Cable with Power Supply?
Since you can’t turn off the WiFi it’s either there or it’s not. Is the module set to Access Point or Join Network? If you set it to access point you should be able to see it in the list of available networks on a smart device.
Make sure your switch is set to Base (the switch on the bottom). You should also see a blinking Green LED if you have power.
Marty, DB9 cable is plugged into power and the module is set to Access Point. I do not see a Lionel network on either my iPhone or iPad.
Sean, the switch at the bottom is set to “Base.” The green light does not light, either steady on or blinking.
Does the red light come on when the module is first powered? If not, you aren't getting power to the module. If it comes on and then goes off that is normal when connected to the base. The green light then should blink as Sean said. If not you may have a bad module.
