I am probably late to this topic, but could somebody maybe give me some information of the topic of Lionel not attending York in April. I have looked around and can't find much information on this, so it would be nice to get some information. Thanks

Lionel announced they will not be at York in April a few months back. Similar to Atlas who announced last week they wont be there either, they will be at the October York.

Where did they announce that?
What other information do you want....? Lionel is simply not going to attend this time. It is probably best to contact them directly to find out their reasons but there are certainly several threads about this on the forum and can be found with a simple search (search button found at the top of this page within the blue highlighted area. Click on it, type in the words that might match what you are looking for and you will get a list of topics that may have the info for which you are searching. These kinds of threads generally go downhill so keep it on track with facts....Thanks!

With all due respect Allen, have you ever tried the search function on this forum? Frankly it sucks. I tried the search “Lionel not going to York”. This thread popped up first but the other search results were from 2016. None of the recent threads on the subject popped up. It’s been a sore subject with me over the years when someone suggests doing a search, or attempting a search and getting nowhere. Members are better off doing a search of the forum on google, I get better results

I agree. Just about all the searches I've tried seem to start with very old stuff, then jump around time-wise in no order. How simple can the word "Allentown" be?
Yes: I agree, use Google
There is a work around, use the most powerful search engine in the world. “GOOGLE”
Type the topic your are looking for followed by a “COMMA” then, OGR Forum and Google will only search anything on the OGR Forum. This process is the way to manage search results from Google. Works with all kinds of information.
Step: 1
Step: 2 • Results, these are the top 3 and there is many more.
Hope this helps: Gary

Rather than use the basic OGR Forum Search window, I find it better to use the "Advanced Search" and customize the needed parameters (dates, forum, show by date, etc). Google is good too but all are better when you follow proper search syntax.

Same here. I used the advanced search for “Lionel April York” and found this thread:
https://ogrforum.com/...c/york-rumors?page=1
But a search for “Lionel York 2019” didn’t come up with anything relative.
I also have no love for the search here...and as well the Lionel website is equally as poor.
I'm with Gary. Google has powerful algorithms in their search engine. Most sites have rudimentary exact word matching algorithms. I find that many sites, that google can index (like this one), are much better being searched by google.

Trouble is too many threads get deleted. Then the same questions get asked over & over & over again. If moderators would lock controversial topics instead of deleting them it would help matters.
