I've tried to gleam as much information from past posts. I still have questions for my specific setup. 7'x11' 4 level oval helix with an inner return track. Basically if stretched out one big loop. Going with what Lionel says that I can run up to four trains at once I plan to run K-Line ABA(all powered with TMCC) and the passenger cars that came with each line. Legacy #990 to control.
Pictured here is an under cabinet appliance holder. This is where the ZW-L will be placed. This setup allows me to raise and lower the transformer based on what tracks I'm running. On top of the helix is a separate layout. Basic 2 loop ovals. One within the other.
Using 12 gauge solid wire for bus and feeders. Wago type T connectors and spades for the feeders into the track. I'm getting 12 gauge coiled wire that expands to allow the raising of holder. Wire will run from the transformer to the big black post pictured in the middle.
This is what I have to work with. NO clue what to do with the four posts on the ZW-L. I can't run everything off one post, right? My initial thoughts are to use all four for the lower helix. Split the buses into four lines. One each for half the outer and inner loops of the ovals. I have 21 2x4 supports. Each will have feeders running to the track at each level.
Four toggle switches connected to the coiled wire connected to a distribution block. From there bus and feeders...... Assuming with the toggle switches I can transfer power from top to bottom.
Is any of this valid thinking?
