The LionelChief Plus RS-3 that was returned to your dealer has been sent back to China.
The dealers have been sent a credit.
There is still no reason why the RS-3s were returned or if there will be a replacement.

Any update on the LC+ RS-3s?
I read that the problem was with the trucks having traction tires that were too thick, which caused tracking problems. However, after looking at the Geeps (which were not recalled), I see that they also have traction tires that are too thick - so much so, that if you look at the loco from the side, the trucks are very visibly canted due to the thickness of the tires.
Kind of makes you wonder...

The RS-3s that were returned to dealers were returned to China and
the dealers were given a credit. When or if the RS-3s will be returned
or more made, Lionel will not say.
The problem must be more than the tires, my guess is a fire problem.
