Hello,

Sorry basic question, does the Lionmaster Legacy T1, 6-11207, use its handrails as antenna?

I've heard of that on other locomotives but unsure for this model.

I have the opportunity to purchase one for a decent price, but the front stanchion is broken off (wire is still there but loose), I want to make sure that won't impead operations.

Also, are the stanchions available for sale somewhere to correct the below issue?

Thanks so much!

Always post as much technical info when asking a question- example Lionel or other brand product number.

I think you mean this one 6-11207

http://www.lionel.com/products...duplex-5511-6-11207/

then you take that same product number, go over to support and look up the product part information- exploded diagrams, and other details.

And yes, the different height stanchions are available for you to purchase from Lionel parts and support.

A trick with CA adhesive that dispenses with the accelerant.  The accelerant is sometimes damaging to paint, but an apparently little known trick with CA adhesive is water!  CA cures in the absence of air, and if you wet a surface and then with CA on the mating surface put them together, they will cure instantly, just like using the accelerant.  The plus is you don't risk clouding anything with the accelerator spray.  I use this all the time when I'm using CA adhesive, my accelerant just sits in the tray now.
