"Hi Jon, Penn Central Station is located at, 8th Avenue and, W 31st St, New York,  City.  Tracks go under park Ave, and stop at Grand Central... is located at, 42nd Street and Park Avenue in Midtown Manhattan, 89 E 42nd St, New York, NY"

Sorry... I didn't know you were joking!

Jon,

It's just "Penn Station."  No "Central" in the name.

Yes.  I’m well aware.  I’m not the one talking about “Penn Central Station”...  which of course doesn’t exist!

Jon

Actually, Penn Central Stations do exist'.... There are several of them'.. A little research will show you... Here is an example...

Penn Central Station

With the 1968 merger of the PRR into Penn Central, several of the Pennsylvania Stations were renamed on June 6 to Penn Central StationPhiladelphia's Pennsylvania Station-30th Street became Penn Central Station-30th Street, while Baltimore's Pennsylvania StationMichigan Central Station in Detroit, MichiganNew York Central Railroad's (NYC) Buffalo Central Station, and Pittsburgh's Pennsylvania Station became simply Penn Central Station. The stations in New York City and Newark, New Jersey kept the old name, "Penn Station", the former because Penn Central also operated Grand Central Terminal.

Just saying, there is a penn Central'...

SORRY, but anything "Penn Central" is anathema to many of us who grew up with and rode the GREAT New York Central and the equally GREAT Pennsylvania Rail Road in and around New York City. The "mating worms" logo and those UGLY black GG1's were a tasteless reminder of what once was! Only thing worse was the demolition of the magnificent Penn Station!  😐

Another grade crossing eliminated. This is New Hyde Park Road connecting Garden City to New Hyde Park.

And another recent overpass replacement to accommodate the third track.

Couple of great time lapse videos of the bridge moves in this one (scroll down)
