LISTENING TO THE NEW PRODUCT LIONEL VIDEO'S

Good evening all,

I spent the last hour or so listening to some of the new Lionel steam engine's. All I can say is WOW. Lionel has knocked it out of the park on the sounds and whistles, even the crew talk has changed a bit. I know there's no whistle steam but these engines are still awesome. I know some fellow forum members have put some video's of these engine's up already and I appreciate it very much,but when listening to the product video's you can really get a good feel for the incredible sounds.I should be getting my GS2 Daylight either tomorrow or Thursday. I also will be getting the N&W J with the passenger cars soon. I can't wait anymore

I agree even without whistle steam and other things. The legacy engines are are just incredible.

The sounds in the new N&W J are a cut above the previous legacy engines. There are creaking sounds and more steam release sounds especially during slow take offs. Also new crew talk of which I say is about time. Still not engine specific but very good.

I have to agree with you Alex. I love all of the videos that Mike and his crew does for all of the LIONEL products. He can really show them off when he wants to. He takes a lot of time setting these up and it pays off for all of us.

Sound has an amazing way of making it all seem so real. I get a rush every time I listen to my various Legacy engines. Never gets old. The combinations of raising RPM while using brake and effects are endless. I love my DCS engines but Legacy has sound locked up.

I have to join in with the other responders, the sounds are out of this world. Lionel and Mike Reagan are sure ahead of the industry in this area.

The product videos aren't bad but the videos on power supplies, and smoke units were very educational.
