This is so helpful guys. I did look in the packaging, I'll look again, but the first time I didn't find any extra tires. I'll also look on the internet and see what I may find. But now I know a lot more than I did before.

I bought the locomotive new/used in all it's original packaging during the pandemic - and that's when I built the railroad in my studio . . . anyway, extra info not really needed but you are all train lovers so . . . it all began when I found about ten trashed passenger cars built from kits, c. 1950's, in the trash at an estate sale. Restored them all, and THEN of course, had to buy an engine to pull them.

Thanks again for the support!

Chris

After a bit of research, I guess the trick will be to find new traction bands!

I believe it is Premier. I can't find a model # on packaging or instructions.

I get it, we all started somewhere but I highly suggest you explore all the below resources and use them to your best advantage. Owning MTH is great, but you have to use the number system and also- know about the 2 main websites- https://mthtrains.com/ and https://www.mthpartsandsales.com/

#1 Know the MTH product number system. Premier starts with 20-xxxxx-x, and Railking is 30-xxxxx-x. You can then use that number to find ALL kinds of information on your engine.

#2 Know to use that number to look up your engine at MTH- this is where you get the manuals and example sounds files and other details about your engine. https://mthtrains.com/20-3032-1

#3 Know and use the MTH parts and sales website which has a TON of info to your best advantage- you own an MTH engine, you should know about this site. https://www.mthpartsandsales.com/

Here is the help files and tons of other helpful info https://www.mthpartsandsales.com/shop/documents

This is the MTH traction tires size chart that would tell you the correct part number or help you measure your rim to get the right tire size.

https://www.mthpartsandsales.c...HART_REVISED_ALL.pdf

Also at MTH parts and sales, if I put your engine number into the "Exploded views parts Diagrams" search 20-3032-1

I get this complete list of parts specific to this engine with the "mechanical parts" link https://www.mthpartsandsales.c...lists/265?type=lists

near the bottom of the list part DE0000025

Gee, many posts back I told you what tires you needed!

DE0000025 for the Premier or Railking Berkshire as at it turns out, they use the same tire.
