Anyone who has the 6 cars Lionel made in 21" passenger in Long Island Railroad blue & light grey, might want one of the 2 preserved ex Phoebe Snow tavern observation cars that became Long Island cars.  To be correct for the already made Lionel cars, this should be modeled pre-1996 rebuild into an inspection car.  Please see this link for the "Asharoken" car 2082 parlor car.

My idea is for a custom run by someone like Trainland who regularly offers LIRR and has the scale of sales to get this done.   I would suggest a 2 pack set with the "Asharoken" parlor car and a silver and blue window band coach such as the car ahead of Asharoken in this picture:

These would make a beautiful and historical addition to the 6 cars Lionel already made for us.  The Asharoken has the same graphics as previously made Lionel cars and also features the "M" transit logo.

I sent this idea in to Trainland today.  Please join in on the requests to have these made.  Lionel already has tooling for the blunt end tavern Phoebe Snow car and the skirtless stainless steel coach as was made for the Penn Central 21" sets.

Please offer support, suggestions, comments.
