If you want to do a real professional job, take a sample of the color you desire and go to a local auto supply store that can match the color and make you a spray can. The quality of the paint greatly exceeds any other type of spray can paint. It is very easy to apply and I have cans that are over eight years old and are still usable. It will cost more, about $25 a can, but you receive more paint then in a normal shake rattle can.
Since, when I restore, I’m investing a fair amount of time, the increased cost of the paint is well worth it. I go by the old saying that quality will be remembered long after you forget the price.
