Checked, nothing.

Jeff, as strange as it sounds, it may be your best bet to buy a random, older, gear-driven aquarium car on E-Bay in order to get your part. Some of them go for as low as $20-25 because many people look down on them.

LOL, just what I'm doing!! I tried to buy one locally, told the guy I needed the part and then he wouldn't sell it to me! I won't mention that again!!
Thats absurd! If he was selling, what does he care what is happening to it?! I know the old gold-painted Lionel aquarium car & the LRRC "Pete's Place" aquarium cars are cheap might be good candidates as a part source.

He just called me, changed his mind. $19 for a NIB Gil Finn Trout Farm.
You would have 7 others as spares, or if you didn't want the rest of the car , you could sell the parts off at a profit. Or you could but the truck assembly....Those are available, and if you dont need the center rail pick up you can remove it.
What about 3D printing the part. You could buy one of the cheap gear driven cars, take the part and have a 3D part made. Then you could resell the car.
try Henning's in Lansdale, PA.

Is it because the attachment bores for this part have broken/stripped out??.... (I repaired a couple of these cars for that reason...)
If so, and if you show a picture of the damaged area, I...and others...may be able to help you get this back to operation again!
Might be worth a try, anyway.
I remember JB Welding some ABS tubing into the frame (underside in photo) of this part to replace the damaged bores. But it was some time ago, and the cars were sold (declared as repaired) to a couple happy buyers shortly thereafter.
FWIW, of course...

Picked up a second car to repair the first. Thanks for all the help, tips & advice!

I was gonna suggest the Trout Farm cars. They're a dime a dozen, work OK and are eminently suitable for Doing Things to.
