Getting a bit desperate for some parts for my Trainman U23B, a "Power Transfer Gear Assembly" to be exact. Atlas has none in stock and availability is as best described as "?".

Right about now I'm considering buying a "salvage" or "junker" that would have at lest one good power truck that could be a donor to get mine going again. It has been sitting in a repair bin for three months.

Or does anybody know of any dealers that may have Atlas parts in stock ?

Doug,

The Power Transfer Gear Assembly has changed with the move to a new production location.  We are attempting to get parts that will work with the previous models, but don't have a definitive answer from the new factory as to if we will be able to or not.  I will try to get a better answer for you in the next few days.

Thanks Paul.

Bill and I have exchanged several e-mails on this issue. In looking thru the IPB's for other two axle diesels I assumed, I know spell assume, that some of the parts would be interchangeable since the axles, gears, etc had the same part numbers. Since I also have a GP9 I considered buying a GP9 truck assembly for donor parts and save the balance for my GP9 loco but I guess that even though the internal part numbers are the same the parts themselves are not.

Hopefully some new/old parts will be available soon.
