Lionel has a set of heavyweight PRR passenger cars that do not have the gold striping normally associated with PRR passenger cars (see picture).  I've searched the web and the very few pictures I could find of this paint scheme were in old black and white pictures, indicating this scheme was used before WWII.  Pictures with E7s/Sharks/post-WWII locomotives had the gold stripes.   Did this paint scheme (no stripes) survive into the post-WWII era?   If so, would you have seen them on the main line or only on secondary tracks (locals/commuters).  I'm thinking of getting a coach to add to the late 1940s accommodation train I'm putting together.  Thanks for the help.

They made a set of heavyweights a couple of years ago with 4 wheel trucks. Most dealers had a hard time selling them because they did not match up to previous production.

They did them about four or five years ago to go with the PRR BB1's.

They were in the 2005 vol 1 catalog. PRR 6-15554 3 car  and PRR 6-15558 add on car. 18 inch cars. They also did them in Long Island
