Looking Forward to Alex's Party on Saturday 8/3

Alex is having a party????  Lol. I too am looking forward to the get together.

Dotty and I are ready to go now.  Erol, this is going to be one first class train day.

We are really looking forward to this event. We have communicated with Alex by phone and many e-mails, but it will be really great meeting he and his wife in person.

The added treat to this is on the drive down and back, we will get to talk trains with a terrific Forum member, Mike from South Portland.

Just a few days to go until the big train party day.   Summer has flown right by.

I plan on taking many photos and will the post them Sat. Night or Sunday morning at the latest.  Brian, I'm looking forward to the drive down and back.  A great train social day for sure.

Hope everyone going enjoys the day while I am working. Originally planned on attending but that thing called "work" is getting in the way once again. I should have retired 5 months ago but noooo....!

I'll see everyone at York in 2 months from now and am planning to attend Trainstock next January.

If anyone is attending Greenberg show in Edison, NJ, stop by our fastrack layout that is operating DCS, Legacy, TMCC and the remote controlled Thomas set, I will be there both days.

The only bummer is we won't see the boat.

I know.   Trust me I tried hard to get my wife to re-schedule our vacation to early August instead of July but we couldn't work it out with our work schedules.

But if anyone is in the Detroit area and wants to check out the boat and run some trains they are always welcome over.

You have to love golf!! For many years I traveled to Las Vegas once a month for a week on business and during July/August, it is just plain HOT, never mind the so-called "dry heat". You must start your round at dawn.

Eliot you can certainly  run a train, I have a much larger scale train set up in my backyard, I'll give you a remote and you can run trains all day. There's even a ballast work train. LOL LOL

Wanted to make the shindig but I have a record sales day out on Saturday which is close to $30,000 for 2 Shop-Rites-a load of oreos and ritz!
