I have an envelope  of cash with a 'quick release' ready for the meet.  I have

two questions:  Do they open the halls on the 24th or the 25th?  I'm not yet a

T.C.A. member, so is there a two-signature restriction?  I've wanted to join for

some time now, but I'm wondering if there's enough time to get proof of

membership before the meet.  Thanks.

Assuming you mean the next meet in October 2014, the dates are 10/16-10/18, it will be over by the 24th.  Next April is 23-25th.  The first day of the meet (Thursday) opens at 12 noon for the meet, but I think you can register before the opening bell.

All the information regarding the meet you could want (including future meet dates) is here.

There is no concern regarding proving your membership before showing up to the meet, as you can join right there(though it will cost you extra ($20 instead of $12 in advance)to attend when you pay admission at the door instead of in advance) .

If you wish to join before then so you can get the benefit of publications, TCA member website, etc, you have plenty of time to do so now.

No more 2 signatures required.

Yes, I have more interest in joining T.C.A. than just the meets.

Hoppy,

Join the TCA.  You won't be sorry.  Additionally, there is no longer a two signature requirement for joining.  Also, attend York if you can because if you like toy/model trains York is a veritable treasure trove of all things train related.
