I was wondering what folks' experience has been with the terminals on the Legacy base? One thing I noticed as I was setting mine up was that the 5-way connector for the wire rotates pretty loosely in its mounting hole, as does the antenna connector. In addition, the base antenna just swings freely even when snugged down onto the SMA connector. I tried to tighten the screw that's on the antenna but it doesn't budge.

Is this normal, or did I just luck out? I'm not sure I want to open the case to tighten things down, but I also don't want to end up twisting a wire off internally.

That's not normal, but it is common. The 5 way binding post is tightened with a nut inside, then a terminal soldered to a ckt board and then another nut. Tight the nuts as best you can without removing the terminal. Then use a banana plug so you won't twist the binding post.

The antenna post I don't recall, but it's not normal to be loose. Might thread into the base wall.

If you take the bottom off the base, it's just four screws. But leave it upside down when you are inspecting it and before you remove the bottom, put a small piece of electrical tape over the button on the bottom so it won't fall out. If you turn over the base while it is apart, a couple of screen holders for the vents will fall out. Best to keep it upside down.
