Anyone know how to disassemble this car to get to the screws holding the trucks? Very loose, and I’m afraid one may actually separate from car, causing a derailment. Thanks.

Mark, either the top comes off or turn the car upside down and pull the truck towards the center of the car. The plastic piece holding the truck will slide out. That’s how it works with this car.

Mark,
Not sure if Lionel is the same as MTH, but I took apart an MTH version.
You have to get the shell off the base. Once the base is exposed, you should be abale to see the screws for the trucks.
I can't remember if the screws to remove the base were on the top under the 4 round hatches (they just pull off or on the bottom under the 2 hopper doors (I think they pull off also).

Thanks, Rod, and Ron; following Rod’s advice, I was unsure of how to “pop the lid” and I didn’t want to snap a piece off the roofwalk, but I was able to remove the plastic pieces holding the trucks in place. Curiously, the screws weren’t loose? Possibly too long a screw was used? I slipped a fender washer between the truck bolster and the piece holding the truck. Car rides an iota higher now, but the trucks are secure and jiggles are gone. Again thanks to you both.
You need a small, narrow end, flat head screwdriver to gradually pop out the square floor section that holds the truck in place on LIONEL ACF CENTER FLOW 2-bay covered hoppers.
