DCS PS3 feature loss when removing engines from a lash up to single operation.

I took an MTH RK PS3 GP7 diesel out of a lash up and it needed to be re-programmed as new? Selecting B&O GP7 XXXX in the remote showed “check track” Not turning on or responding, I deleted both, it and also the lash up in the remote and performed the following: I re-added the engine, engine found, startup was OK with diesel sound. It also responded and ran when choosing either direction.

Problem - I noticed it didn’t have following features during operation. Missing was the horn, bell, coupler sounds, brakes and crew. Also, I had to manually turn on the lighted number boards and head light key as well. I used the remote (sound) on the remote LCD to turn back on each feature separately.

Performing a feature reset first, did not automatically activate the missing features listed above. After setting each of them up, the unit works correctly every time as a single engine.

Just took the PS-3 GP-30 out of the same lash-up to run by itself and same thing happened. No horn, bell, brakes, had to press the HDT key to activate the head light. Feature reset in ADVANCED did nothing.

 4.1.0 rev. 13A

So what causes this?

Thanks
