My condolences for your loss and my prayers for you and Pepper.
Joe
Allan,
Sorry to hear about your loss. We lost two cats last year. It's never easy. Jack is only 8 years old so hopefully he has a ways to go!!
Regards and my Condolences
Fred (FREDSTRAINS)
My beloved pooch for 14+ years was put to rest today.
I will miss Pepper for her love, companionship, and loyalty.
as a fellow Aussie Lover I can tell you I know how your heart must be breaking. When I lost my best friend of 10 years Joey, it was one of the saddest day of my life.
This is my little girl Samantha, she is 10 years old and has the energy of a puppy!
This is our little boy Rocky. He is very different than Joey, but variety is the spice of life!
Allan sorry to hear about the loss of your best friend.
HI ALLEN
Sorry to hear the sad news !
I have been there myself .
I love Dogs & cats .
My current dog is around 12 years old.
Allan, I am very sorry for your loss. I know what you must be going through, it's always hard to accept that they're gone. I have a 10 and half year old Corgi that I am very attached to, too. It'll be rough when his time is up. My condolences.

My condolences to you. It's never easy to part with them. Remember the many good times, experiences.
Sorry Allan---never easy
Sorry you lost your buddy Alan. They are family, its difficult to say goodbye. Gut wrenching when we have to make that decision for them. Hardest thing I ever had to do.
Rob
We have two golden doodles, 1 year old and 4.5 years old, and a day doesn't pass where me scold them one moment and love them the next. But every moment of every day they are there for us. Sorry for the loss of your best friend.
Allan
Sorry to hear this sad news, we have been there ourself.
It's never easy losing a longtime friend like that.
Allan, my sincerest condolences. She was a very handsome pooch.

I want to thank all members of our OGR Forum family, including those who have sent e-mail, for their expressions of sympathy over the loss of my beloved Aussie, Pepper, who shared the past 14 years with me through good times and bad. She was--and is--simply the most faithful, devoted, and loving friend I have ever had.
These past couple of days have been very difficult, and I know that more difficult days lie ahead. Still, I take great comfort in knowing that so many of you folks would take the time to provide words of sympathy and encouragement. My heartfelt thanks to all.
Spoken like a true gentleman.
Allan,
I can sense your incredible feeling of emptiness. You have lost your most trusted, innocent and gentle friend. It is a difficult time and I'm sure you are aware that the healing process will take a while. When you feel that sense of lonliness begin to enshroud you try and think of the great times you had with Pepper and the warm feeling of togetherness that you both shared. No one can ever take that away from you and as long as you think of her in those terms she will always be with you. My deepest condolences for your loss.
Allan,
It is a very sad thing to lose someone that close, and I don't believe that pets aren't real members of a family. They are. You love them, you care for them, and you NEVER forget them. I hope you never forget the good times you had with your dear canine.
I was saddened to read this Allen. It hits close to home as I've been there way too many times in my life. But it seems another pet blunders into your life when the time is right.
Allan,
My sincere condolences.... It so hard to go thru this. We put one of Doxie's to rest over a year ago, and he was only a year old, but I think about him every day. Remeber all of the good days with her, and again sorry for your loss.

When I lost my Frances this past July I kept her ashes. I ordered an URN and 2 lockets, one of a cross with a paw print for myself, and one of a heart with paw prints across it for my daughter. The lockets have a little of her ashes in them too. I ordered them from a website www.perfectmemorials.com
I have nothing but good things to say about them. Everything was personally engraved and shipped out the same day I ordered them. Here's some pics:

Nice. I have Kodi as well. Not in as nice of a urn as you but I have him. I plan to do the same with all my pups and kitties. When they put me in the ground, they will go with me.
Allan, really sorry to hear of your loss. Marianne and I have had pets (cats) for many years and it is always really difficult to lose one. They are truly family!
Pepper will be with me for eternity, too. She is being cremated tomorrow. I already have an engraved urn for her and the Angel's Rest facility that is handling everything is supposed to also have a paw print made for me. She and I will be put to our final rest together. We'll meet at the Rainbow Bridge.
We never really bury our dead, we carry them with us. It's our price for living.
My condolences as well, Allen. I too lost my best friend just a few months ago as well after 17+ fantastic years due to "old age"...every now and then I forget, and still look over to her favorite resting spots where she normally waited for me to finish whatever I was doing.
They are truly a loving member of the family...
Sorry I missed this Allan. Internet has been down for nine days.
Our dogs are truly our best friends and I know how much you miss her. She had a wonderful life with a wonderful partner.
My sincere thanks to all who have responded to this thread since my earlier Jan. 5 response, as well as to all who have sent cards and e-mail in recent days.
Pepper is home with me now, and her urn occupies an honored place on my mantle where she can be with me for as long as I am around, and then beyond. Her paw print, collar/tags, and swatch of hair are in a display case of their own.
It has been especially difficult coming home to an empty house, so I just avoid being home as much as possible. I know things will get better with time, but time is what it will take.
Once again, my thanks to all here for their kind words of support.
Allan,
Very sorry for your loss. Our pets truly become a member of the family. Wish I had the words to take away the hurt.
Wow. I feel this loss too, Allan. My deepest condolences from both Karen and myself.
Hang in there Allan, I always say that the sadness of a personal loss will in time give way to the warmth of fond and loving memories. Those things stay with us always!
my condolences , dogs are truly our best friends
Very Sorry to hear about your dog.
I have a 2 year old chocolate Lab. She is by my side as I type this. She shadows me from the time I wake up, waits for me to come home from work and sleeps on her bed just 4 feet from my side of the bed(my wife won't let her up on the bed).
We run in the mornings together except for the last 2 weeks with the frigid cold. She has learned a whole bunch of commands and is a real buddy. My kids always ask if I would be sad if anything happened to her I can imagine how you must feel.
Best wishes
