Who made the GP 60M? Atlas O or MTH? In order to answer the question, it is important to know which sound system one is dealing with... Ps2, Ps3 or Railsounds.
Steve,
There are only a couple of ways to adjust sound levels. One is the volume +/- keys on the DCS Remote. The other is to adjust the individual sound levels via the Sound menu
Barry,
I tryed both of those ways. The cab chatter is ok and the horn and are ok. I even tryed turning
the blue screw below the engine.CLOCK Wise louder and counter clockwise lower.
STill no luck, this is the same on both engines.

Has it always been this way, or is this a sudden change? G

How did you think it worked??
Steve,
So, it's just the engine sounds that are low? Were they ever louder? Is this an older 5 volt PS2 engine?
A bad battery will cause this.

Barry, I guess I was not clear in my question. I was asking the original poster whether this sound volume issue suddenly occured, or always has been this way such as "I just got a new engine and the volume is low". Similiar to your last question:-)
As Dave mentioned, Battery in PS-2 5V and I have seen 16 ohm speakers in 3V board engines. G

That would do it for sure!
