STATIOIN LIGHTS UP when first plug in, but will not light up after power is disconnected and reconnected.  The only way I can get it to light up again is to disconnect the DC power cable to the station we re attach.  It should light on and off when power is switched on and off.  I think the station has a defective circuit board.  Any comments?

It is just as possible the power supply needs to be powered fully first. I have 2 recharge wallwarts (repurposed) that need the item to be plugged in after the ac is applied to the wart.

Probe the wart alone (no load) for voltage . Then with load, then after unplugging from ac.    Does waiting a few min./hours allow for a power up via ac?  (Im thinking maybe a capacitor being "full" , the decreased load may not be enough for the supply to turn on. Time may give it opportunity to empty itself ...?

Most led boards just modify the power so the led can handle it without cooking... i.e., resistors mostly, maybe diodes & caps, just maybe a voltage regulator and/or opto isolator, but the latter, not real common.  Considering the price, I doubt the boards are complex enough to "demand" anything but proper voltage.

It appears that the power supply needs to be power first, then the station for it to light.  That will not work for me, when I apply power to my train layout all my lights come on, even the Starbucks Menards with LED lights and the same power supply.  I have email Menard asking for a replacement or credit.  Waiting to hear.  Thank you all.
