I purchased a set of decals for a mathieson chemical tank car last year. Recently I got a ush model from a fella back east. The car was tarnished, but I decided to use bar keepers friend. That, a cloth and some elbow grease cleaned it up. Tonight I applied the top coat. Varying the psi I avoided a major masking job. The underbody (non remove able ) will be black as well as the dome and grates. I will hand brush and airbrush them.

I have no clue who Mathieson is, but have seen cars offered for them, I think in kits
and in brass, in three? dome tankers for the scale, two rail market, this maybe in
old catalogs. Not the Vandenboom catalog, which shows a six dome lettered for
"Sunny Slope Distillieries" (who the heck were they, and where?), and one, two and three dome tankers for assorted oil companies.

I THINK Mathesion Alkali had a plant in Niagara Falls New York that was served by the Niagara Junction.
