I wish to add in several pieces of Lionel lighted Fastrack to my Atlas track for a under the Christmas tree Loop. What is the best way ?

I use either Menards fastrack to tubular adapters, or the lionel fastrack to tubular 5 inch piece (6-12040)
, then I use the Atlas to tubular rail joiner adapter pins. On a more permanent layout, I cut down the Menards tubular to fastrack piece to 1 3/8 inch long (same as that short piece on 072 fastrack switches).
The reason- geometry. Fastrack is not square or the rails do not end at 90 or equal length.
So thus, you need some adapter track that mates with the fastrack but can either be cut or ends with a straight edge and then also is compatible with the Atlas tubular rail joiners.

Also, I found that https://woodlandscenics.woodla...com/show/item/ST1476 is the perfect shim to space the Atlas up to the same height as Fastrack. Again, foam roadbed under the Atlas, fastrack directly flat on the table (no added foam or other).
