The title of this thread still bugs me

Same here!

Make it three of us! The models may very well be superb (I hope they are), but until the first model is delivered, I think it is a bit premature to hold a coronation.

I'm from Missouri!

Fellows, I believe you will get over it! Then maybe some people never grow up.

I wasn't complaining about the drift.  I like drift.  I was complaining about the direction of the drift.  We have it at mtj too - after a while you start getting meaningless posts.  At least there they are not accompanied by copying the last six posts.

It looks like Stephen is trying to get us back on track, leading into how wonderful these models are (er, will be).

The pilot model for the SD45 are being built now. so if your at he March show in Chicago you should be able to view them.

Erik did communicate at the Indy meet that that was the plan, to have the pilot model at Chicago.  I look forward to seeing it for a variety of reasons.

It's always hardest doing something for the first time and it'll take a significant amount of effort to get it done but I'm sure he will and I hope he does. I might actually get one or two if the next one when the time comes and it seems like I have plenty. But then the. Ext one will be smother and faster and the one after that even more so until he gets production running like one of his mechanism.

I haven't bought a locomotive or a car in maybe a decade. Does that mean I cannot opine on what is currently available?

Yes.

HW is correct: By your own admission your credibility is somewhat undermined. I believe the correct American term isr 'no skin in the game'.

See?

Very good Mr. Turner. Now you can go back over to MTJ and complain again about how things are here on the OGR Forums.

we may see this if this happens.

In the year 2525
If man is still alive
If woman can survive
They may find

In the year 3535
Ain't gonna need to tell the truth, tell no lies
Everything you think, do and say
Is in the pill you took today

In the year 4545
Ain't gonna need your teeth, won't need your eyes
You won't find a thing to chew
Nobody's gonna look at you

In the year 5555
Your arms are hanging limp at your sides
Your legs got nothing to do
Some machine is doing that for you

In the year 6565
Ain't gonna need no husband, won't need no wife
You'll pick your son, pick your daughter too
From the bottom of a long glass tube, whoa

In the year 7510
If God's a-comin' he ought to make it by then
Maybe he'll look around himself and say
Guess it's time for the Judgement day

In the year 8510
God is gonna shake his mighty head then
He'll either say I'm pleased where man has been
Or tear it down and start again, woah woah

In the year 9595
I'm kinda wondering if man is gonna be alive
He's taken everything this old earth can give
And he ain't put back nothing, woah woah

Now it's been 10, 000 years
Man has cried a billion tears
For what he never knew
Now man's reign is through

But through eternal night
The twinkling of starlight
So very far away
Maybe it's only yesterday

In the year 2525
If man is still alive
If woman can survive
They may thrive

In the year 3535
Ain't gonna need to tell the truth, tell no lies

Stephen makes some great points, and I agree with him for the most part. This is a tough market and a first impression is crucial. Plus they have been generous with the updates. I can only cheer for them. Besides how many times have we wished there were more manufacturers making more products, we can't afford to lose manufacturers in O scale!

When you visit the other forum, Hot Water .... be sociable and say "hi" to everyone.

Anyway ... what is it about model trains that gets some folks angry? It seems a waste of time to me to let a hobby have that effect.
