If you find a place that discounts Menards trains, let us know!
Really your looking for a cheaper place that sells Menards train products ?
Are you serious?
Dave
Remember when you purchase certain items at Menards you can create a rebate with your receipt .
I’ve noticed the rebate of around $2.00 on my receipt for my train purchases . And I’m ashamed to say , but I haven’t taken the time to do so.
Check out on Facebook Menards Model Trains.
Menards is not a toy train manufacturer that distributes to a dealer network. It is a home improvement store chain that sells trains online (on its own website) and in its stores as a sideline.
You may find some on the secondary market, such as eBay — for prices higher than the original sale price.
You won't do better than Menards itself.

I haven't figured out how to use the rebate when I only due online ordering because the nearest Menards is 600 miles from me (Spokane to Williston ND).
Someone did post up how to do it, but haven't been able to find that post - even with searching.
Thx, guys: I just did the simplest thing: Ordered directly from Menards.
For the price, and the few Items I order, it is not worth using the rebate program. Maybe they should have a loyalty program, and if they do, add more points for the purchase.
Guess what? They're already pretty darn inexpensive.

If you have a Menards near you the in store pickup is free for online purchases. Then get the 11% rebate form. Plus they have a nice hobby wood section and the huge bucket of cheese puffs for $5. Your wife see’s the credit card bill and thinks you bought lawn fertilizer. Pure no honey money. It’s everything a model railroader could ever want.
My guess is that the purpose of the rebates is to drive foot traffic in the stores. Even if you can't use it, submit the rebate form and then give it to someone you know who lives near a Menards store. I'm betting that almost everyone knows someone who is within driving distance of Menards - they will appreciate it.
And I chuckle whenever I see someone haul a bunch of new-in-package Menards stuff to a train meet and mark it up - in the midwest, it's difficult to go anywhere without driving past a Menards store.
I love the buildings. I was "done" with my layout until I saw a couple of the new buildings this year so I actually built a 2'x6' extension so I could add the engine house to my pike. Dear Menards, please stop making such great stuff, I cannot expand my house to accommodate all the great train stuff you sell.
Need a store in H-town. But too far away from supply services.
