Wouldn't there be some "safety netting" on the roof sides just in case the wind picks up?

Not in Menardsville, these pilots are good. And they know they won't get any donuts if something happened...LOL
Menardsville City Council just voted to change the name of their fair municipality to Menards City!! It is one modern booming metropolis!! It leaves Boyceville and Podunktown in the ashes!!
Very nice layout!!!
I told you Menards made a special landing port and got a helicopter for Cabinet Bob, how else did he get it so fast
Bob has the inside track that is for sure!!
Where my post go?
I am finished.
Looks great.....cool lighting!!!
?To modern for me....so Mark.......how about some downtown Art-Deco or Mid Century Modern buildings????

You guys missed a good one.
Ok Bob, the only thing I can come up with is that Menards must have someone hand deliver the new releases to you. Mine will be here Monday. That's not to bad coming all the way to western Colorado. Looks fantastic can't wait to get it on my layout!
Bob,
Great photos and video! You really outdid yourself this time!
The layout looks great and thanks for posting!

Looks great Bob! I really like the way you have the helo in the back ground also! This group of guys are so good at picking things out, when I post pictures here I have to double check them! LOL

YA !! it was a Diet Coke too !!
Maybe so, but it sure looks like the top of my coors light can! LOL
Now if Mark could let me know if they are going to get anymore ranch houses in, I hate ordering from the stores.
Looks good, nice setting.

I imagine he's sent these mini-models for inspection prior to production approval. It would appear that the model "contents" might have an influence on his decision. We'll just have to wait and see.

Oh the authenticity of this 'Micro' - Brewery ! It really Brews !!
Nice pictures as usual Dad! I knew it was soda, that's why we call you Pop! LOL
The hotel guests on the side facing the police station must get very little sleep at night. It's hard to imagine a hotel of that caliber (red carpet and all) being able to meet expectations in that location at the prices they must charge.
Nice pictures Bob, you seem to never run out of room, hmm!
Dave
The next project should be a hospital using the same basic building but twice as tall. Back in the day a fully furnished Plasticville hospital was essential to a layout.
and don't forget one of these k-line beauties too!
"Do you have Jim Beam in a can?"
"Well you better let him out!"
My great great grandfather injured himself laughing at that joke! But it's still funny! LOL

I was thinking the same thing, otherwise the copter may go right over with the skids not catching anything and this could happen--------

Lucky we have Super Mark from Menards !!
Received our club's unit today. Looks great.
Looks good Glenn! Did you build the fence or is it part of the house?

Thanks Mike. That fence came with one of the old Walthers 0 scale building kits.

Bob,
After seeing all the pretty trees behind that "CAN", I thought you might be modeling prototype beer can hotel for the Menardsville Music Festival similar
to SMUKFEST this summer in Skanderborg, Denmark.

Like some one commented, too modern for 1940, but l am glad their imaginations are in gear and look forward to more surprises.
