Since I do not have a train room yet, nor shelves to display, I have to keep my tinplate packed until I run them.
Sometimes when you get a new piece the original wrapping, insert and box are not included. Therefore, I have been looking for the same microfiber sheets that MTH and LCT wrap their pieces in.
Last week we went to our local furniture store to look for a new mattress for our daughter. Before trying them all, the saleslady, went a pulled off a sheet of this material to give her to put under her head.
When we were writing up the order my daughter jokingly handed me the sheet. I asked her where she got it and she explained what she was doing with it. After writing up the order we were able to get a 6-7 foot section of it, and it also comes with a perforated break that works perfectly. It was exactly the same wrapping that came with my other trains
I may go back and get more ! I wouldhave never thought to check there.
