Late start to the Mid week, but here we go, anyway.
I took a drive to Schuylkill Haven, PA last week to take photos of the F7s which the Reading & Northern have recently acquired. They were not there, but this RDC was at the old station. The depot is now the headquarters of the R&N Passenger Department.
One of their executive passenger cars, the Schuylkill Valley was also on the siding track in this quaint town.
I believe this is an old DL&W car that had been severely modified to become one of the first business cars for the Reading & Northern.
They have a nice fleet of trucks there, too.
Boxcar Alley, and a view of the RDC, There is weekend passenger service on the railroad from Reading, PA to Jim Thorpe, using these.
I like the sort of "Crusader" like look to this car.
Trackside shanties are also near the station. Storing a track speeder, of course.
