Me too, I plan on having some Military stuff on mine, kind of something for my Son over in the Sand Box. Thank you for your Service Mike and to all that have, are now and in the Future. God Bless The Armed Forces and all those who protect our way of life.
I’m planning on an area where I can display some Minuteman ICBM Silos with the missile visible through the open Launcher Closure Door. With USAF locos and rolling stock in the area.
Minuteman ICBM maintenance is what I did while in the Air Force.
Tyler, Larry know what he is doing! He is a Marine, and his son is in the Army! The man knows his stuff! Thanks for your kind words!
That all looks very good, Larry Sr. It has a feel of respect to it, as well as details and configuration like you know what you are talking about with your modeling. Congratulations on how good it all looks.

Nicely done Larry!!

reference duce and a half's?
That is a die cast model I built from a kit. some of my tanks and jeeps are as well. Then I also have some less expensive ones. I try to keep them at a distance lol.
Yes Larry Jr. leaves for his 3rd deployment next month Good Grief!!!
I don't think I could have hacked a 2nd tour in Nam little less a third

The focus of my entire new layout will be a U.S. Army logistics base. Interchange will be with the Ohio Central. There will also be some Amtrak service to the nearby community. I have all the motive power and rolling stock I can possibly use already, with more on the way, and have made good headway with vehicles, structures, and military figures. Now just have to get more work done on the layout.
Well Larry, be it known, that you and your son and family are in our prayers! I know its hard being a military family! You all have my utmost respect!
Thanks Mike.
Be looking forward to seeing that new layout Allan. Sounds like my kind of a fun build. Best of luck with it.
Larry
My sincere thanks to all of you who have and are presently serving in our Armed Forces!

My military area is a forward operating base, well dug in and camoed so not muc to see.
Larry,
I do not have a designated Military portion of my Train Room, that is yet to come. However usually the entire 2nd level is a Military Transport Train!
Have a great Memorial Day - Tell the son we are thinking about him!

Wow!
NORAD, that would be cool.
Looks good Dave.
Lots of nice pictures guys.

hats off to you guys with these trains. I started 2 different ones in 2 different scales. Neither one got anywhere near finished. I want to also have a portion of each layout for the bases.
I bought a lot of the 1/32 scale tanks for a future G scale train. I was going to put them on custom built flat cars for a modern military train when they get built. I really like the models of the Striker units and the other modern trucks but the prices are pretty high for my budget.
I also wanted to get the MTH set of Abrams tanks on flats. I didn't have any money left and only got 2.
