growing up near bensenville IL one of my favorite places to watch trains as a kid was at the old milwaukee road (now CP) yard on green street. thats where my love for the milwaukee road and SOO began. my favorite engines were the ex milwaukee road "bandits". i really want to convert an o scale milwaukee road gp38 or sd40 into a SOO bandit. i did this to an athearn HO milwaukee road gp38-2 when i was a kid. have any of you guys done this paint job in o scale? if so, please post pics and a little description of products you used!

I remember back in 2010. I was waiting to fly home to Sweden a few hours so i thought that I'll pass the time at Bensenville station. I took a few shots of trains but my cameras battery went dead. I then took a few pics with my Iphone. Five minutes later the police came as I had been reported. They said that real rail fans use real cameras and wished me a good day.

I have some shots of the bandit scheme from st Paul if interested.

when i saw this post i thought you meant Gov Ogilvie who was the trustee on the Milwaukee Road bankruptcy. he was rewarded over 4 million dollars for destroying the railroad and many employees never received the back pay they were owed. my dad and his dad had almost 89 years of service on the Milwaukee. my feeling forget that scheme!

on a lighter note, i spent many enjoyable hours at the Bensenville engine house as well as at the Western Av coach yard when you could take pics on rr property.
