I’m always on the hunt for great resources for our layouts. Something I use all of the time on mine is tube sand as dirt. It can be sifted to a variety of textures (medium, fine), and is perfect for O scale. And the best part…it’s stupid cheap!

My favorite words in this hobby, "STUPID CHEAP". Thanks for sharing Ryan. Dwayne
Thanks Ryan - definitely on the radar for the upcoming layout 👍🏼 - question - can it be secured like most scenic materials with the usual “white glue wash” ???
Thanks again

Yes it can. I put white glue down first before putting it on the layout. I’ve also sprayed Woodlands Scenics Scenic Cement and Deluxe’s ballast bond on it. All work great. White glue wash works perfect too.
