Under the kiosk are stairs leading down to the subway platform.

OK, so this is it for the kiosk. Took longer than any other structure on the layout.
Seems the smaller they are the longer they take. Maybe not, but it seems that way. Have to start working on the central plaza now: trees, lights, a coffee kiosk, a fountain and a bandstand...

Yeah but it was worth it!

Down another rabbit hole: trying to replicate the iconic cobblestone streets of Old San Juan.

So tell us how you're replicating those cobblestone streets.  The outcome looks nice.

They are Redutex sheets. I'm painting random cobbles (actually bricks - their cobblestone sheets are too irregular for the Old San Juan streets) with thinned blue, white and black/white mixed paint, with a toothpick. It's going to be quite a while before I'm done.

It looked like the rolls of LeMAx brick with random bricks painted.  I guess Redutex isa similar product.

Yes, like LeMax, but the bricks are a little more irregular, and the base color is matte and close enough that the whole sheet doesn't have to be repainted.

I've posted a typical Old San Juan street so you see what I'm aiming for.

First sheet finished. A blunt toothpick and a LOT of patience. I figure 4 or 5 more sheets should be enough. Such madness...
