Mogul Missing Monkey Motion Magic | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

I was hoping to get a steam loco with Walschaert valve gear, because the "Monkey Motion" of that 90 degree offset radius rod fascinates me, but alas, my Mogul has the inboard Stevenson gear, driven from eccentrics on the driver axle, so I won't get to see that monkey motion after all.

Can't win 'em all, I guess!

Very few SP Moguls had Walschaerts. From memory, only the M-21 class had them. But you are in 2- rail now, and can add your own. Not a difficult task.

Bob,

Don't forget the M-10s. Then there were a few oddballs such as the M-19 & M-20.

The MG & Sunset model would be a good start for an M-10 with said "Monkey Motion" added.
