So, I just got one of these transformers second hand from an Ebay seller. It’s in very good condition and seems to work as expected.

This unit was once mounted to a table and has the bolts still attached to the transformer base. The only issue seems to be that the head of the bolt has to be inside of the base. Loosening the securing nuts won’t help to get rid of the bolts.

I suppose I could hacksaw them off. Right now the unit is not suitable to be used on a bare floor. Does anyone have one of these? How are the bolts attached and removed?

 Thanks

Some of those transformer cases have unusual mounting screws that require a special tool to remove. The idea is "There are no user serviceable parts inside".

I was able to shine a light into the 4 recessed holes that are on the bottom of the case. They look to be Phillips head. I just need to go get one now that’s long enough to reach the heads and try not to enlarge the grooves in the heads.
Previous owner did it to put the mounting bolts in.

Thanks!

Be careful when pushing the buttons on these units. They don't use a conventional pushbutton switch. They have copper tabs soldered to a board under those round red buttons. Because they don't click or have a positive stop, like a real switch, and they are fairly stiff, it is possible to overstress them and break them. It has happened with both my pure power and my PP dual.
