Has anybody used MRC's tech 6 with their DCC/DC locos. Need review.
"HONGZ" stands for HO scale, N scale, G scale, and Z scale.
Post your non-O scale stuff here!

Pretty cool product. Check out all the high praise on amazon.
My mrc prodigy advance squared was defective from the get-go.
Just hooked it up and it works great. You can adjust some of the CV's and I can work the sounds in my sound equipped locos. Plus I can run my DCC ready locos.
No need for me to buy a full DCC system, I can run anything I have and it really smoothes out the running especially on my newer locomotives.
Thanks Martin for the Amazon link.
I'm new to DCC & I have an MMI On30 K-27 and have an MRC Tech 6 DC/DCC controller. The engine just sits motionless with only the idle sounds, no lights, bell or whistle, no movement. The Tech 6 will run my Broadway Limited C-16, my Bachmann engines & my Precision Craft Models Galloping Goose. I tried a factory rest & still nothing. Any suggestions?
The tech 6 requires that the locomotive be set to the original address of 3. It has it's own way of addressing DCC locos that isn't the same as a full DCC control system. Works great for what it does but does have limited functionality. It also helps to buy the remote keypad for it.
Read the instruction manual on the link below:

If you add the keypad you'll spend the same a what you'd pay for NCE Power Cab starter system with full DCC functionality. A DPDT toggle switch that allows feed from either DCC or your old DC transformer will do the same thing as a Tech 6.
