You can seldom stop a thief. The best you can hope for is to slow them down long enough where they will get caught red handed.

Like many similar cases, the second most ironic and irritating reality is it's more likely they have no appreciation for what they stole. I doubt highly anyone in our confederation of hobbyists are the actors ( in a response to another's comment)

On a positive note if it ever occurs to these idiots to fence this stuff to the right buyer, they are more than likely to be caught.

No, he definitely wasn't The MTH crew busted their collective butts to get a display together for York, and did a fine job of it.

It is a sad testament to the condition of society when things like this happen. I believe that MTH would probably have insurance coverage but that's a small consolation for their inconvenience and extra expense. My second hobby is collector cars and I when going to a show, I hide a GPS tracking device in each car just in case. It is not an alarm but a silent GPS tracker/phone that will pinpoint the cars location by dialing it. It also calls your cell phone when programmed for movement. If I were MTH I would invest in a tracker and also put a "boot" on the trailer wheel when parked.

I hope that the thieves are apprehended and put in prison where they belong.
