Our computer systems have been upgraded to Windows 10. I got the TIU and Windows to recognize one another however I placed an steam engine on the track to program and I get the response "No engine found on track". Does anyone have an answer? MTH doesn't

need more info. Are you using the DCS Remote? or AIU with smart phone? How are you adding engine? Are you using the "Eng", "s/u" commands on the remote? Do you have other engines on the same track? Are there sufficient free channels to add the engine too on the remote?

Are you trying to add a locomotive to the DCS remote with the TIU hooked up to your computer or are you trying to change a locomotive sound file with the TIU hooked up to your computer? I'm not clear on what is going on.
did you turn on fixed outputs so dcs in turned on? just click on remote dcs and pick ao button which means all channels on and you should be able to address engine, if you due not have dcs turned on engine will start up in conventional. were not clear what your trying to do you don't need the computer to run trains only need computer to change sound files or upgrade version 6.10 in tiu and remote software updates!
What I am attempting to do is upload PS3 sound files to an engine I just upgraded. I've found one bug and the PC now sees the TIU. MY TIU hadn't been updated in a while so I downloaded the most current Files to the PC now when I tell the program to send the updated .dcst file to the TIU it can't seem to located the com port the TIU is showing it is on.
which tiu do you have rev L or the older ones makes a difference what cable you need to interface to your pc n tiu n remote also need the 3.5 mm stereo cable for tiu?
Some of the older serial port cables have an issue with Windows 10. It about drove me nuts.
