I have seen the set sell new for prices between 750-1100 between stout,eBay,and a few others also depends what version it is proto1 or traditional KG

Even the Lionel Classic CHROME set has gone down...there are simply too many trains, too many unemployed, too many foreclosures, and too many people scared out of their minds to pay a couple grand for these sets. The good ol'days are gone for awhile...get with the program!!!
