I just purchased the MTH N-6B caboose with operating signal man.  (20-91579) It works just fine with the DCS controller but does not work using the CAB-1L controller.  You have to hold down the bell button on the DCS hand held to get it to work. So I am assuming that the DCS bell signal is constant vs the CAB-1 signal which is momentary. AM I correct in this assumption ?

I was also thinking I would rather have the man move on the whistle button vs the bell button. Can this be done by switching the

feed wires to the board and reversing the signal ?

 Thanks

My setup:

Basic DCS system with wifi. Using TIU for track power and control of MTH engines.

Cab1-L hooked to the track, No cable between TIU and command base.

I did this though. On track 2 I put a MTH engine running via wifi, and a TMCC engine. Everything works except the caboose. Hitting the bell on the wifi turned on the engine bell only. Grabbed the MTH hand held control, Set it to track 2 voltage mode, hit the bell button and it worked.

So I 'm guessing the bell button on the wifi is addressed to the MTH engine, The bell signal on the hand held must be on the generic track voltage part of the system. I guess ( if I had one ) I could put a conventional transformer on the setup and it would work on the caboose. I'm also guessing that the TMCC is also addressing the engine also....
