I am in need of part # DD-0000023. MTH states is it not available. Did a search and the normal part suppliers don't seem to have it. Not sure if anyone here would have one. I can get the entire truck, DA-0000006, if needed, just don't need all the extra pieces.

It sure looks like that. About 1 3/4 inches long.
I don't have that one, but the whole truck is only $20, I'd just get that.
That is what I saw, I will probably go that route. As of now I took the coupler off the end of the observation car. Don’t think I would ever put a car on the end of the observation car, and I think the observation car looks better without the coupler.

You're right, I'd have done the same thing. I don't couple things to the observation car with one exception. That's the Reading Crusader with two observation cars, for those you need the coupler.
