MTH Z 4000 ISSUE ????

Hi the z4000 Serial No's:  121044289 and 0398 was the first early version, that model had voltages not going to zero volt, common issue with that model n serial # 0398, you know you can update the model serial  0398 to work like the later model but if i remember correctly you have to change the power supply board ,and that board is over $200.00 dollar plus shipping! there was a suggestion there were some cap's you could  change on the serial 039 transformer, it's easier to just add the light bulb on the track so there is more of a load, so the ps1 board will go thru proper start up and come out of reset!

This is a new unit and has done this right out of the box .

I honestly wouldn't worry about it. If it starts reading above 1 volt when the handles are at zero with a load on the track, I'd investigate further.
