Hey Tex Special or Steve,

I've never seen so many red and white Texas Special locos.  But if you're an Oregonian, why the Texas Specials and not Northern Pacific, Great Northern, or SP & S? Unless you're a transplanted Texan? Just curious.

Hi Vern,

As the story goes I wanted a Lionel train for Christmas but realizing my family was not in the rich category I sent my sights on the cheaper train sets.  When I woke up Christmas morning there was the beautiful 2245 Texas Special passenger set running around the tree, a miracle to me.  This just stuck with me on how wonderful that engine set looked, and they still do.
