This GG-1 was done from a Williams Conrail scale GG-1 as opposed to my last repaint which originated from a Weaver. Once the mod marks (there are four) are removed, the painting was pretty easy. I acquired an MTH scale GG-1 in Conrail blue, so I decided to do the Williams. Once again, Dave at Custom Decals was on the money. Now, I gotta get back to the next Munoz Lines design . . .

The caption on the second GG-1 photo said "NJ Dot" so I am not entirely certain

"NJDOT" refers to the New Jersey Department of Transportation. Conveyed from Conrail, NJDOT owned 13 GG1s numbered 4872-4884 inclusive for North Jersey Coast Line service between New York City and South Amboy . They were painted black with the exception of the 4880 and 4883 which retained PRR DGLE with gold striping and numerals. The locomotives were lettered "NJ DEPT OF TRANS OWNER" underneath the engine number at the forward end on each side. See my pictures of each scheme below which illustrate each scheme along with the placement of NJDOT lettering. As mentioned above by Jonathan, the 4921 was an Amtrak locomotive so the caption referencing NJDOT as its owner is incorrect.

An exception to the basic NJDOT liveries was introduced when the 4877 was repainted in PRR Tuscan in June 1981.
