Josephine has prayers coming from here. 💒

Judy and I have lost our spouses to cancer in 2011 and 2012 .  We all were friends.    Judy and I were not intending on ever getting married again ......just happened.🤔    Three priests performed our Mass.  ..........the greatest thing in our lives now is getting back to Mass with Covid slowing down.

Don't know what words can explain the things that happened after we lost our spouses.  We prayed for help in our lives as well as for others.    There is something beyond what we see and hear ......I  firmly believe that.

Judy has made this unplanned hobby a lot of fun over the last five years.

Prayers up for Josephine and you.

Seeing other doctors...MRI's, ultrasound, Mayo Clinic?  Research internet? Exhausted all possibilities...?  Hope you can find help ..

Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins is world renowned

Wilmer Eye @ Hopkins  in Baltimore and Wills Eye now part of Jefferson in Philly,  Both world class.   Move mountains, travel anywhere, find out everything you can.

We have our own unique health issues and went anywhere to find the one or two docs who have touched on the root cause of our health issues.  We each have been treated for one thing  without results only to find out the problem was something else!!

Docs are only human, some docs have had more medical exposure than others.   As long as we are still breathing there is hope.

The patient advocate of any medical facility  usually can assist greatly with financial concerns.  Pray for direction.

So sorry to hear this, my old friend. My wife and I are praying for Josephine and you.  Are you still living up there near Jacksonville?  UF’s medical center in Gainesville and  FSU’s medical center over in Tallahassee have pretty good university treatment centers specializing in eye care. These shouldn’t be too far from you. However,  UM’s Bascom Palmer Eye institute is top ranked and one of the best in the country. If you’re willing to venture back down to Miami, this is the best place in the State to pursue further treatment options.  If out of State travel isn’t an issue, the New York eye institute and the Wilmer Eye institute at Johns Hopkins are the best. Keep us posted and we’ll be sure to keep your wife and you in our prayers.

CHURU my wife was going thru the same issue and her eye doctor referred her to a Vascular and they found a blockage in an artery that supplies blood to the eyes and the did an angioplasty and that corrected her problem. Just a thought and we will keep both in our prayers.  She has the same problem with the other eye but there hs been no vision loos so the will not do the procedure for that until there is vision loss.

Don't accept there's no cause; take her to Mayo Clinic.  There's one branch of Mayo in Jacksonville FL--and they have an ophthalmology department there.  I went to Mayo in Minnesota when I needed a second opinion on a health issue; they'll either find the problem or provide through testing the puzzle pieces your doctor needs to put the picture together.  (The latter happened in my case.)

Churu, I'm praying for Josephine that her sight can be restored.  I'm also praying for you in caring for her needs.

Prayers sent, Churu. I lost an eye two years ago to a rare cancer, but the care I received at Will’s Eye, and Jefferson in Philly were both amazing. I still go to Philadelphia for check-ups.

Artie, I’m sorry about your eye.  My wife trained as a nurse at Jefferson and worked there a while back over 40 years ago.  It was a top notch teaching institution.

Thanks, Mark. Fortunately, I had good care, and my good eye is 20/20, so I can still drive, fish, boat, and model. Jefferson was just remarkable. Will’s Eye was also amazing, and as soon as they saw it couldn’t be saved, they referred me to Jefferson. Then, I underwent radiation at University of Pennsylvania, another amazing hospital, and all within blocks of each other. Enough about me, this is Churu’s post!

Churu, get to a neurologist ASAP.  That happened to my mother and it was the eye doc who immediately referred her to a neurologist.  Turned out she had a pituitary tumor which intervened with either blood flow or optic nerve ( I don’t recall which) and is a ‘relatively’ routine operation these days.  When the tumor was removed/shrunk, her eye sight improved almost to normal.
