There are tons of dummy couplers for engines, and many of them are the same.  Ditto for the scale couplers.

so a coupler like this would be ok?

Worst come to worst, you might have to file that end if it's too thick to slip into the slot.

and it still looks like the right side has some sort of "lens"...very tiny-ish

i guess i'll give them a call to see...

Yep, I looked at my Atlantic and it has a clear lens.  Some others models don't have any lens in the class lights.
