Got the bug to add another train but I'm out of room in the basement so I made a shelf around the ceiling. The area it runs is 12x25. Shelf board, brackets, stain and screws was under a hundred bucks. I had plenty of track already.
This is my boy scout train running the route Its a low ceiling so the whole shelf was shadowed and disapointing, thus the 2nd video

Added 2 100 strand sets of christmas lights to brighten things up. Worked great. Swapped the 0-8-0 BSA loco for my dads 1949 turbine. Its a powerhouse since I overhauled it. 10 cars running at just over 7 volts.

I always wanted a german K5 but noone makes one so I built my own. The flats are the small lionel plastic flat cars that came with plastic trucks and molded couplers. The gondola is an mth premier. I used that to give it the correct scale proportion. I need to exchange my 2 wheel trucks for 3 wheelers but havnt done it yet. The cannon is from 21st century toys (out of busniss unfortunatly) it was part of a 155mm tow behind howitzer model. Removed the chassis from the gun and extended the barrel using one of those long trigger lighters. Overall I'm pretty happy with it for being thrown together
