Thanks for posting the photos of your progress. Looks like you will have room for lots of railroading action! What are the wooden pieces you have raising the back track in the first two photos? Something you have re-purposed? I really like the bridges also! Just some old scrap wood I found years ago, and strong enough to run big engines over, it each piece 7 1/2'' tall 2'' wide 40'' long as you can see I had Just enough to put 5 on the front and back main lines. I was thinking about covering the front one with a brick but you will not be able to see the

Lots of progress. That's a good size layout!
Amazing! Great progress. Keep the updates coming!
I'm surprised no one has asked yet, but I want to ask, where did you find that huge Polar Express Poster? That is really cool. Also what are the dimensions of that poster?

I put a tape measure on it about 25 feet long about 8 feet tall I pick it up from the movie theater back when polar express came out I had a little guy so I thought it kind of cool but I didn't realize how large it was until they called me and told me to come pick it up but I just thought it would be kind of a cool backdrop on the layout he also gave me a couple other posters I still haven't gotten them up yet
Another update, having the Atlas turntable and a lot of big steam I had to get crazy and unrealistic about having more then just one spur to drive some big boys in to roundhouses but I like what I've done. I was at loss for what to do until I seen the post on ATLAS TURN TABLE UPGRADE. and I took this great idea and finished this area of track plan off, What track plans lol I am just winging it. I'm am thinking of making this area around the round house a Historical Museum of my dreams.

Well the kids had a day off of school so we I mean, I worked a little on the layout. They ran some trains, the roundhouses are wired up for track power and my son tested them by parking a few in the barn also we started to finish the last of the track laying, I took a minute too count up the switches and 45 is the number. But I still have 4 leftover but I have no room left well enough talking time for some pics.

You were really busy Charles7777! I didn't realize there were going to be two roundhouses! Cool! Thanks for the photos!!
Charles in Charge,
It is always great seeing trains running on a new layout, and that is an impressive train! The crane is cool too. Sure beats my hand crank postwar Bucyrus-Erie crane for features. Thanks for the videos!
i may have missed out before. What is the long multi-arch viaduct made out of?

Yeah fortunately for me my friend layout wasn't big enough to accommodate the second round out so we did some trading and I ended up with the second one.
Got all my track in around the turntable now I just had to finish wiring up the spurs that I put down today one happy camper. I'd like to thank all the forum members for inspiring me with all their photos and progress on your layouts it's really have motivated me this winter to get back at it.

No Zac no track plan, I just had a simple idea to have 3 main lines and the 4 interline for working and staging.
